Bingo Tips
It is true that bingo is a game of chance and luck. Anyone who tells you otherwise is pulling your leg. Unless you have some way to manipulate the caller and computer system then it really is luck to win. That being said, there are things that can be done that can raise your chances of winning at bingo. These tips are designed to help improve your winning chances and also to help you enjoy the game more!
- Never play more cards than you can manage. It is easy to get over excited and get more cards to play but this can end in disaster. The caller is not going to wait while you check your numbers so don’t get more than you can handle with the callers speed.
- Make sure that you have consecutive books. If you are playing bingo in a bingo hall and buy a book of tickets for the session, you need to be sure that you are playing a set of six. The way the cards are produced is the every six books will all have one single occurrence of each number spread throughout the six games squares. This means that every time the bingo caller calls a number it will be there somewhere on your set of tickets. If the book is not consecutive then you get some numbers occurring twice and others not appearing at all. This can get confusing and throw an inexperienced player off.
- There are a lot of ways you can mark of your numbers on a ticket book. Some people use just plain biro pens while other opt for what are known as dabbers. These are special bingo pens that let you blot a circle over the number quickly. First tip here is to always make sure you have a spare, you don’t want the pen to run out of ink midway through a game! The second tip is to be gentle with the dabbers. If you slam the dabber down too hard onto the book then the ink can splatter and smudge meaning you can’t see the numbers that are unmarked properly.
- Always be polite and friendly. It is not nice to get into arguments at bingo, it is supposed to be fun after all. If it gets to a point where you are arguing with someone because they are sitting at your ‘lucky table’ then you may need to sit back and think about how you view the game! In online bingo don’t argue with other players in the online chat, it will get you into trouble with the moderators and you could end up banned! Have fun and make friends, congratulate winners and enjoy the game!
- Read reviews of bingo halls, both online and offline. Look for ones that come highly rated and make sure they are properly licensed.
- Always be a courteous winner and loser. Don’t let the fact that you have not won for a while spoil your fun. Enjoy the game and the social aspect as well as the actual chance of winning cash. In the same way, always be cautios about chatting about your wins. Nobody likes to hear how often you have won and it will not make you any friends by bragging. Be a good sportsman and play the game well.
- Play with higher value cards, as they will have bigger jackpots. If you have a choice between 10p a card or 25p a card then go for the bigger value as the payout will be higher.
