Types of Bingo Cards

Many bingo halls and rooms offer you the choice of playing either 75 ball bingo and 90 ball bingo. 90 ball bingo is favoured in the UK whilst 75 ball bingo is more favoured by the Americans. Both games have similar rules, but use different types of bingo cards.

75 Ball Bingo Cards

In the 75 ball bingo game, you play with a 5 x 5 card with the word bingo clearly written at the top of the card. Underneath each letter of the word ‘b i n g o’ are columns with 5 different numbers in each column. These numbers are selected randomly from 1 to 75.

Underneath the letter “B” you will see a selection of 5 different numbers between 1 and 15.

Underneath the letter “I” you will see a selection of 5 different numbers between 16 and 30.

Underneath the letter “N” you will see a selection of 5 different numbers from 31 to 45.

Underneath the letter “G” you will see a selection of 5 different numbers between 46 and 60.

Finally, underneath the letter “O” you will see a selection of 5 different numbers between 61 and 75.

Each card contains 25 different numbers ranging between 1 and 75. This forms your bingo card.

90 Ball Bingo Cards

This game card contains is slightly different as it contains 90 numbers, as opposed to 75 numbers and the cards are 3 x 9. In each row of the 9 squares, 5 of the squares are filled with numbers in a similar way to the 75 ball bingo card. 90 Ball bingo cards come on tickets of 6 cards and on all 6 cards each number from 1 to 90 appears once.

Both cards are easy to follow once you know which game you are going to play.
